My sincerely greetings to you all:
First of all I want to give you thanks for the big privilege of being part of your plans and prayers.
It is for me a blessing to have you as a support in my life. Being part of exa Ichthus makes me feel special and loved; it makes me be a better person every day. Through all of you I got God’s love and it makes me stronger in mind, heart and life.
I proudly can say that I am blessed for having all of you in my life.
It is a pleasure to count with you and your love.
Now I am studying in Mexico city a place where I never thought I was going to live, this amazing dream is becoming a reality due to you support and to all your help . I am very grateful with every single person in AIM church for believing in me, in my dreams and for making it possible. You are a blessing in my life.
One of my biggest dreams is to foment a better education in all the country but starting in my state which is one of the last on the education ranking in the country.
Since I went to missions while I was at Ichthus I developed a deep love for children, I saw big illusions into their eyes, just like I had when I was young. I believe in them as you believe in me.
I bless each member of this amazing church for helping me to go on through this way.

2016년 추수 감사 편지
올해에도 변한없이 저희 공동체와 지인들의 후원을 받는 학생들로 부터 편지가 도착했습니다.
It has past more than two years since we are being blessing by the scholarship that you give us, we are so thankful with God for this amazing opportunity and with you AIM church because trough you God is blessing us and doing great things.
More than two years being here in Mexico city isn´t easy but I´m doing my best, I learned many things and since I´m here and I can say that my plans and goals had change a little bit, I pretty sure that I would like to be a pediatric nurse and to work for some time in some other country maybe USA or Canada, and also I want to go in a mission trip, then to come back to Chiapas y try to do something for my state.
I´m grateful for this beautiful opportunity that I have to write you and I say thanks to God and to all of you. I will pray for you.

Another year has passed since i sent you a letter to say thanks, it means that you have suportted me one more year in this path i am following to reach my goals, but this is not just a period of time where you are supossed to give me money for living, i could understand it this way if l where a machine but i am a human and as such i feel. So in this moment there are no words to state how grateful I am, this feeling is unspeakable because the help you give me comes directly from you but before that happened God told you to do that.
Now I would like to tell you which are my goals or my goal in my life.
Many people think that politicians are corrupt, and those who thing that way are not wrong, but if we just think and say what we think, it does not change anything at all. As Marx said once “The philosophers have only interpreted the world, in various ways. The point, however, is to change it”.
What i mean is I want to be a politician leader of the town where i live. In the place where i live there are around one million of people. It is not an easy task, even opening a door is difficult if it is the firt time you are going to do it. But i am still a young and i am going to take advantage of it. As a young i still have ideals. I say this because the place where i live has been governed by old men that just want to steal money and act as a corrupt.
It is time to make a change. Corrups is not the politician but the person. I have heard of the uruguayan politician José Mujica and i am inspired on him. I am not sure of how is gonna be the end of the story but i know how to start it.
It is a brief summary of what I want to be and I can not tell datails now.

익투스 장학생 – Saira Perez Vazquez
- 나의 삶의 이야기
안녕하세요. 제 이름은 사이라 페레즈 바스케스 이고, 현재 멕시코국립자치대학교에서 공부를 하고 있는 18살 대학생 입니다. 저는 쭉 같은 곳에서 태어나 자랐습니다. 저는 중산층 가정에서 자라 저희 부모님과 두 오빠들과 함께 살았었습니다. 제가 15살 이였던 2012년에는 제가 집을 떠나 익투스 학교에서 공부하게 되었고, 저는 여기서 성실하고 올바른 가치관을 가진 사람으로서 거듭났습니다. 저는 그 곳에서 사람들에게 많은 사랑을 받았고, 특히 저는 그 곳에서 하나님을 만났습니다. 그 외에 저는 익투스 학교를 통해 제가 사는 주 바깥의 세상을 알게 되어 미국을 방문할 수 있었던 기회도 있었고, 또 지금 제가 다니고 있는 멕시코국립자치대학교에 대해서도 알게 되었습니다.
- 나의 신앙 고백
제가 2012년도 익투스 학교에 입학할 당시에는 저는 종교가 없었습니다. 어렸을 때부터 부모님께서는 저에게 아무런 종교에 대해서 가르쳐 주시지 않으셨기 때문에 교회를 간다는 것이나 가서 찬양을 한다든 하나님과의 관련된 일들을 하는 것이 저한테는 모두 새로웠습니다. 허나 그 해 11월 때 들었던 설교를 통해 하나님은 저를 감동 시켜 주셨고, 저는 그 것을 통해 하나님을 제 마음에 받아드리고 그 분을 섬기고 싶은 마음이 생겼습니다. 또 하나님께서 제 삶에 들어오셔서 어떤 변화를 주셨는지를 제 신앙고백을 통해 전 세계에 보여줘야겠다는 생각이 들었습니다. 그래서 저는 세레를 받기로 결심하고 세레식이 있는 4월 까지 기다렸습니다,
몇 개월 기다린 후에 저는 세상에 저의 신앙고백을 할 수 있었습니다. 하나님께서는 제 인격을 빚어내시고, 제 삶을 영원히 바꾸어 놓으셨고, 저는 제 신양고백을 통해 예전의 저는 죽었다는 걸 느꼈습니다. 그 분은 모든 것을 지휘 하시는 분이시기 때문에 저는 지금 현재 제 자리에서 저의 목표와 그 분이 저를 위해 계획하신 일들을 이행하고 있습니다. 저는 제가 세운 모든 계획들이 그 분이 저를 위해 세우신 계획의 일부분이 아니 인걸 듣고 배웠기 때문에, 저는 저의 미래와 계획들이 하나님의 손 안에 있다는 것을 믿고, 앞으로 수 천개의 문제들과 맞닥트려도 그 분께서 저와 항상 함께해 주실 것을 믿습니다.
- 나의 비전
앞서 말씀드렸던 것처럼, 저는 현재 멕시코국립자치대학교에서 식품 공학을 공부하고 있습니다. 저는 제 학사 과정을 4년 반에 마칠 계획이고, 또 그 후에는 석사 과정을 밞고 싶습니다. 공부를 마친 후, 저는 첫번째로 제 가족을 도와주고 싶습니다.
현재 제가 공부하고 있는 분야에는 다양한 직업들이 있습니다. 그리하여 미래에 저는 저의 고향에서 작은 회사를 새워, 새로운 제품을 계발해가며 그 지역에 사는 많은 사람들에게 일자리를 주고 싶습니다. 일자리를 제공하여 불행하게도 위태로운 상황에 있는 사람들을 지원하고, 또 제 회사를 점점 성장 시켜 나아가, 제 고향이 위치해 있는 주에서도, 또 멕시코 전국에서도 유명한 회사로 키워 내고 싶습니다.
마지막으로 그 후 몇 년 뒤에 저는 선교사로서 하나님의 말씀을 듣기 힘든 사람들이 있는 오지로 나아가 그 곳에서 살고 있는 사람들이 하나님을 알아가는데 도움을 주고 싶습니다. 그리고 또 특히 저에게 너무 많은 것을 가르쳐 준 익투스 학교를 위해 어떤 도움이라도 주고 싶습니다.
